One of my favorite things in life is finding people who get weirdly obsessive about certain topics, and combining my weird obsessions with their weird obsessions.

That’s pretty much what happened here.

My friend Ben is a devoted music obsessive, and as a devoted math and science obsessive, I thought it would be pretty fun to go through and rank pop music based on the various science references artists sometimes throw in there.  This page is just an attempt to bring all the posts together, so you can stroll through them at your leisure.

Here’s the introduction. I introduce Ben and make up a whole bunch of rules we really never follow.

We start off with “10 songs that get science right”. These are songs we actually thought did pretty well in the science department. We went long, so Part 1 has the first 5 songs here. Part 2 and the second 5 songs is here.
